About The Insurance
The supplier provides fully comprehensive insurance with an applicable excess liability. However, if you are found to be driving negligently (drinking and driving or over speeding), and you are involved in an accident, or you lost a car key - you will responsible for any damage incurred to the vehicle.
Excess Liability
Renter would be liable for damage to the vehicle ranging from €2000 - €2750, depending on the car group booked. The applicable amount will be blocked on the renters credit car, and will be unblocked when the car in returned undamaged. A waiver may be purchased to eliminate the potential excess charge ranging in cost from €10 daily - €15 daily, depending on the car group booked.
Optional Extras
These are the extras that you may choose to pre-book for your hire prior to arrival. Although not guaranteed at any time, these items are available upon request, and must be confirmed in advance of your arrival. Child seats: € 25 Euros per rental Booster-seat: € 20 Euros per rental Sat Nav: € 35 Euro per rental Toll Transponder €1.85 per day (maximum €18.50 per rental)
One way Rental policy
When the drop off place is different of the pick up place there is a fee of € 20
Out Of Hours Fees
For rentals that occur outside of normal office hours, there is a surcharge of € 20. Faro Airport service is open from 08:00 to 21:00, and local branches are open from 09:00 to 19:00
Extra Drivers
Second Driver free. € 20 Euros per rental per extra driver (the third and following)
Drivers Age And Licence Requirements
Minimum age 21 years of age, no maximum.
Young driver insurance is € 5 per day for the drivers between 21 and 25 years old
Cross Border Policy
Cars can be taken into Spain if supplier is notified at start of rental. A 'Green Card' will be issued at a cost of € 35.
Credit Card Policy
Renter must be in possession of a valid credit card – Visa or MasterCard
Directions to find our representative at Faro airport:When you come out of the customs area turn left and look for the Terminal Exit, also look for the signs saying “P4 Local Rent a Cars”. After exiting the Terminal building walk about 70mt you will see at Park 4 an office saying Rent a Cars. Just beside, there is a Sign “AV/Discovery Cars”.
